The Cooper Varsity cheerleaders attended a UCA camp at Great Wolf Lodge this past week. Tyciara Finney, Kolie Foster, Audree Huntress, Halle Toon, Lexie Reed, Adysen Ross, Kate Lenahan, Caitlin Overfield, Angeleena Valdez, Rachel McHenry and Brooklynn Mead were all in attendance as well as sponsors Bree Randle and Krystal Reed. Audree Huntress was named All-American in the senior division and Lexie Reed and Adysen Ross in the juniors division (freshmen - juniors). Audree Huntress, Kolie Foster and Halle Toon all received “pin it forward” awards. The squad received a blue ribbon for their eval on the 2nd day of camp and for the camp show on the final day, the squad received a 1st place trophy for their game day performance, 2nd place in the cheer competition, 1st place for the most visual pyramids and stunts and 1st place for crowd involvement. The squad also came home with a spirit stick. Brooklynn Mead, (the Bulldog Mascot), brought home several individual awards as well. She received a blue ribbon for her eval performance, a “fish” (top daily award for the mascot division), a spirit stick and she received the camp leadership award. We had a great time at camp and are looking forward to the upcoming season! Meet the Bulldogs will be Saturday, August 17th and the first Varsity football game kicks off Friday, August 30th!
