District Site Based Committee
Our District Improvement Team met on November 3rd. Discussions included AEIS, AYP, & PBMAS as part of our district needs assessment, and the formation of a committee to develop 2009-10 school calendar options. The school calendar committee met Thursday, November 13th to discuss calendar options for 2009-2010. The committee worked hard to create three viable calendar options to be voted upon by staff and parents. Voting will take place during the week of December 1st through the 9th. Information for parent voting is posted on our homepage in the announcements section. Two meeting are planned for the spring- one in late January or early February, and the other in late May or early June. If you would like to send a topic for consideration at a future District Improvement Team meeting, you may submit the request to Mrs. Hohenberger at- dhohenberger@cooperisd.net

In compliance with Education Code 11.251, the District-Level Committee shall advise the Board or its designee in establishing and reviewing the District's educational goals, objectives, and major Districtwide classroom instructional programs identified by the Board or its designee. The committee shall serve exclusively in an advisory role except that the committee shall approve staff development of a Districtwide nature.
